  • Very beautiful design and well chosen photos. Thanks for this interactive guide. Now I've learned more about the noise levels in the street. By the way, would there be any sound clips later?

  • I like Chris' idea. How can you omit sound element in an interactive LO?

HK media comments on Donald Tsang's Blue Sky Campaign which is proposed by gave some insights on the sound pollution problem in HK. Students may have no idea about the noise produced in a construction site. But when they go to some roads in Mongkok district, they may be frightened by the noise produced by the traffic. They may even be affected when they buy things in some open shops on Nathan Road. Another noise source is their MP3 player. If the volume is set at the highest level, it is harmful to their hearing. Your LO can promote their awareness.

In addition to the sound level scale, users can be impressed by the face of the cartoon. I suggest that the face is to be distorted by the increase in the sound level.

  • The presentation of noise pollution is simple,
i can learn a lot about how dangerous noise pollution can become. Maybe if the buttons could have a bit of color change
so that it's easier to know when you have pressed it

  • Dear Susanna,

Having a preview of your final version, it will be great if there are some sound effect and mouse over color change on each button for different types of noise pollution.

    Cheers,
    Terence

  • Your design is simple enough to arouse our awareness on sound pollution. Good! But, it is right that sound should be the most important element in your representation. You may try to add some sound effect.

  • Dear all,
Thanks for your opinions, they do help us a lot. As Terrenz and I are not familiar with FLASH, we’ve use lots of time to explore it. We hope we can include sound in our final work.
    Cheers,
    Susanna ^_^
